On July 20, 2025, Girls Tech Together hosted its 3rd AI and Robotics Event in collaboration with FIRST Robotics. The participating girls had an exciting opportunity to explore the robotics and artificial intelligence fields through a hands-on workshop.
The workshop kicked off with a tower-building exercise that introduced students to the fundamentals of the engineering design process, giving them a chance to practice problem-solving and teamwork.
Afterward, they explored robotics by learning to code and control robots, eventually creating and programming their own LEGO robots to complete an obstacle course. The sessions also provided an introduction to artificial intelligence, where participants trained simple machine learning models and gained a behind-the-scenes look at how AI systems function. In partnership with FIRST Robotics, this event was designed to ignite excitement for innovation and inspire students to see themselves as future leaders in technology.
