Yesterday, two groups of elementary school girls finished the GTT program through Zoom! They covered topics such as functions, loops, conditionals, and other fundamental concepts in Computer Science.
They also worked on a final project, which served as a culmination of their efforts, and the various skills they had developed in GTT. The girls identified the purpose of their app/game and presented about their creation process. They were challenged to complete their app/game in Sprite Lab, which has a lot of functionality not covered in class, such as variables, extra levels, designing personalized sprites – many students took on the challenge of utilizing the extra features in their app, and were successful!
